Lenny was an incredibly brilliant student in grade school until puberty hit. Her complicated relationship with... relationships... lead her down the path of delinquency, drugs, and alcohol. She was a full-blown smoker by the age of twelve and was introduced to the rest of the scene by the older kids buying cigarettes for her.
Secretly an introvert, Lenny spent all of her homework hours on writing instead. Her grades were so poor her mother never bothered to send applications to prestigious universities on her behalf the way she did for Adele, Eveline, and Valentine. Lenny never attended university and spent her first year post-graduation living in her parents' basement saving up money selling zines and books online and querying to publishers.
Lenny does not keep in contact with her family aside from receiving voicemails now and then from Valentine. She had a falling out with her "friend" group back in high school after being made fun of for her writing. It ended in a brawl, a busted lip, and a bloody nose.
